2003 Fender Highway 1 USA Precision bass in sonic blue. It is in excellent condition, including the original nitro finish, neck, fretboard, frets, etc. No issues at all other than some slight dings, marks...but these are very minor for a 2003. The original nitro finish is just a bit transparent as you can see in the photo of the back and just a touch on the front. One of the reasons I sought out this model was because of the nitro finish. This bass truly has a vintage vibe including the finish, and details like the threaded saddle bridge.

    Weighs a light 8.38 lbs...balances great.
I did a complete copper shielding job so it's very quiet.
After a search through many different Precision pickups including the Seymour Duncan SPB-1, Fender CS '62 and '63, Aguilar AG 4P-60, I chose a David Allen CS P1088 pickup. Check out the reviews and videos online for this pickup...truly amazing. You can also search for videos of the Bluesman Vintage Deville bass...many of those came with this pickup. Here's one of those videos to give you an idea:

I love this bass and am only selling it to buy a Fender Custom Shop Precision with a larger neck size and shape that matches my Fender Custom Shop '54 P bass.

The neck is awesome on this bass... fast and smooth satin finish. Frets are in outstanding condition. It's had flats on it for many years and hadn't been played much since it was a backup bass prior to the David Allen pickup being installed. I've had Sadowsky Black Label flats on it but removed those to keep for the future since they're not made any longer. I've installed Fender Nickel roundwounds on it for this sale (that came on my Fender Custom Shop P bass).

I'll give you a choice here...you can have it with this David Allen pickup along with the installed Kelling Sound harness or I'll remove the electronics so you can use your own preference. If you want it without the pickups/harness that are installed, you can reduce the price by $75. Just let me know.

You get your choice of one of 3 pickguards I have for this:
    - Fender Pure Vintage 63 Mint Green
    - Fender Pure Vintage 63 Tort
    - White pickguard that came on it when I bought it.
Comes with a non-Fender case that protects it and is fine. It has some wear but isn't torn up and all the latches and hinges are solid and work perfectly.

    Bass Specifications:
Model: Fender Highway 1 Precision Bass
    Year of Manufacture: 2003
    Body Wood: Alder
Finish: Nitro Sonic Blue (Original Finish)
    Neck: Maple with rosewood fretboard

    Strings: Fender Nickel Round Wounds
Weight: 8.38 lbs on my digital kitchen scale
    Scale Length: 34"

Although I have a limited amount of feedback here on TB, I have a ton of perfect feedback at eBay (I'm "portchicago" there), including great feedback for other guitars sold to very happy buyers. As always, this will be packed extremely well for shipping. Please let me know if you have any questions.
