So, my highway one JB needs a new truss rod nut as it's stripped and very difficult to make it turn. Anyone knows what is the correct replacement? 3/16" #0038454049 or 5/16" #003-8443-000 ? This is the model fender gives me with the serial number Captura.JPG
The service manual says it's the 5/16" but when I put a 5 mm allen key, wich is about 3/16", it seems like a good fit.
Perhaps I'm getting confused, is 3/16" and 5/16" the measures of the diameter of the cilinder or the diameter of the allen key? the hole is about 8.10 mm which is almost 5/16"
Thanks in advance for the help! WhatsApp Image 2020-07-27 at 15.54.23.jpeg WhatsApp Image 2020-07-27 at 15.54.22 (1).jpeg WhatsApp Image 2020-07-27 at 15.54.24.jpeg

  2. Get it out first. Then think about the correct replacement.

definitely gonna be 3/16", "5/16" has to be a typo

that looks suspiciously like a mexican neck though, maybe it needs the mexican truss rod nut (which is also 3/16")
