Fender/Ibanez-what length truss rod on short scales?

    Hello guys.
    Does anyone know what length truss rod the big makers use on their 30"scales?
    I'm ready to order a custom from LMI,and would assume 19.5" would do the trick.
    Any advice welcome,and thank you in advance.

    i buy mine from stewmac and cut them to the length i want.

    That's cool,but I'm no luthier;I'm having it built for me.
    So what relief would you recommend?
    By my logic it'd be 4" from the length of a standard,minus a 1/4" since my builder says the standards are long as is.

    no what i meant is that stewmac sells a complete truss rod in 24" length for basses and i cut them to whichever length i want and i just attach the nut to the cut end.

    i dont build anything.

    as for what lengths i cut, i never really calculated. i just cut them while standing infront of my neck. my next set of truss rods wont be here for another 30 days. sorry!
