Fender Jaguar control plate swap

I saw some old threads on this topic, but the jury still seemed to be out on whether you can do a straight swap of a jazz control plate / wiring kit with a Fender Player Jag.

I have an existing jazz plate with stacked VTs and a mini toggle for series parallel that I’d like to maybe try in a Jag. Thanks.
