fender jass bass probems

  1. I was playing my J bass and sound stoped comming from my amp but my amp works fine, has anybody had a similar problem with there J basses?

    Oh jeez ... where to start? How do you know your amp is working? Is it an active bass? If so, are the batteries good? How about your instrument cord? Have you tried another? Does it make a sound if you jiggle the plug in the bass? Maybe your output jack is loose.

    Could we have just a HAIR more info, please?

    Yeah, Munji is right, there are about a dozen things that could be wrong. It could be your cable, a solder joint inside the bass, the input on your amp, the jack on the bass and a lot of other things. Let us know what all you have tried in troubleshooting, and give us some more info.

    If all else fails you could have a tech check it out.
    :Edit: To clear things up, I think he means Jazz Bass.:D
