SOLD Fender Jazz '75 RI CIJ w/ HSC - Sunburst/RW-blocked & bound - Options À La Carte

I got a great deal on a '75 RI from a local member, and I planned on selling one of the two. They're both EXTREMELY beautiful basses, but after some careful deliberation, I'ma let this girl go. Hopefully I won't regret it. The differences are that this one has a slightly thicker neck with med-jumbo frets and a gloss poly finish. It's not a bat by any means. I'd say is med to maybe med-thin even. This weighs about a half lb. more, so if anything it's more period-correct! And finally, this bass has much better body contours and neck fit. There isn't a gap to speak of.

P serial, '99-02 manuf. The frets are excellent. No marks on the backside of the neck. I'll throw in a NIP chrome pickup cover w/ screws and a cheapie tort pickguard. Includes an SKB Freedom case and is strung w/ Dean Markley Blue Steel rounds. It's a touch over 10.5 lbs, but that's a postal scale not bathroom scale roundabout measurement.

The only deviations from perfection are as follows: Somehow at some point, there was a tiny chip on the headstock on the bottom lobe of the first E on the logo. All the gold outline is gone, but I dabbed a toothpick on a paint marker and filled the bit of black that was missing, filled with CA, and buffed it out. No one will notice. Only two people will know, and I ain't tellin'! I buffed out any marks on the body while I was at it, and any remaining surface marks wouldn't photograph. I don't know what the previous owner did, but there is some marring on the bridge from the height adj screws.
