Take your vote on the eternal conflict, Jazz Bass vs. P-Bass
Jazz bass please!
This topic has been done to death, but i'll bite.
I'd have to say it depends on the sitchiation. I love both, but it'd really just depend on my mood.
The P got my vote because the Jazz neck just feels to small to me and I LOVE the sound I get from my P-Bass.
Both are sweet instruments though, guess I'm just a Fender freak.
where is the "Both" option, i have 2 jazz pickups and a p-bass pickup i usually have on all 3 at the same time, sometimes pan the front one more (more bass)
I vote P-bass, but the official answer is right here
Jazz for the looks, P- for the sound.
In the eternal words of the kid from the Icelandic Cheerios commercial: "Bara bæði betra."
I like both
I love the P-Bass. In any situation you got a clear and round tone. You can use your fingers or "pick" and "mute".
For the more funky tunes although, you´ve got to have the J-Bridge-PU eventually.
But for the neck, the style of body, the Split -coil PU, the feel - it´s the Precision.
Im not sure I understand. Could you clarify this for me?
both are great ...
Both. I love my J, I like P's and I love my P-Special.
I prefer my P - always have, and have only had a J for about 8 months. I'm warming to the J, but still prefer my P-bass
