Fender Jazz Bass vs. Fender Precision Bass

  3. This topic has been done to death, but i'll bite.

    I'd have to say it depends on the sitchiation. I love both, but it'd really just depend on my mood.

    The P got my vote because the Jazz neck just feels to small to me and I LOVE the sound I get from my P-Bass. :D

    Both are sweet instruments though, guess I'm just a Fender freak.

    where is the "Both" option, i have 2 jazz pickups and a p-bass pickup i usually have on all 3 at the same time, sometimes pan the front one more (more bass)

    I love the P-Bass. In any situation you got a clear and round tone. You can use your fingers or "pick" and "mute".
    For the more funky tunes although, you´ve got to have the J-Bridge-PU eventually.
    But for the neck, the style of body, the Split -coil PU, the feel - it´s the Precision.:cool:

    I prefer my P - always have, and have only had a J for about 8 months. I'm warming to the J, but still prefer my P-bass
