Fender Jazz control plates

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Bubba Love, Apr 21, 2006.

  1. I recently got an Amber American Deluxe jazz, and I fancy maybe outfitting it with some black hardware. Are the four hole control plates a standard shape across the Fender range, or is the one in the Am Dlx model different?

Also, is there somewhere I can find the same model bridge in black? I'm not keen on changing it as it seems like a fairly solid affair. Any ideas?

I'll post pictures of the new bass when I get my filthy mitts on a camera. It really is a lovely finish. Thanks in advance for your input!

I beleive the 4 pot-hole, 3 screw-hole plates are pretty much standard and aren;t too hard to find.
  3. Yeah, I can find them, I just didn't know whether or not they'd fit. Thanks a lot!

Anyone got any advice on the bridge?
