Fender Jazz necks: Are the 2000's consistently that good?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Stewbone, Aug 27, 2002.

  1. This is one for Fender fans, obviously... I recently played my friend's 2000 American Standard Jazz, and the neck was gorgeous. I have a '99, and the difference was remarkable. Are the 2000s, generally speaking, consistently that good? Looking for an easy, pat answer over here...!

I'm looking at getting a used MIA J-Deluxe. What are the differences of which you speak and do they also apply to the Deluxe models.
