fender jp90

    sorry if someone on this site's talked about one. this guy at a pawn shop has one for $400 is this a good deal and are the jp90's pretty good? i've never really tried one

    It depends but $400 sounds a little steep. Some have neck issues. If the neck is twisted, pass it up. I got mine from a pawn shop for $200. IMHO...

    PROS - Body shape and balance, thin "Jazz Bass" type neck, light weight, Schaller tuners. Good looking bass.

    CONS - Ceramic magnet pickups

    I agree. I'd say $250 tops, and then, in that price range, there are so many 4 string options that I'm not sure I'd give the JP90 much consideration.
  4. JP90's are not bad, but only in the $200 -$250 range, tops.
    pawn shops usually ask twice what it's worth, and at least, 4 times what they paid. :cool:
