Is there any way to know if a P-bass is a Standard Series or a Reissue without taking off the neck???

    if it helps:

it has the Trussrod Adjustment at the body end of the neck.
It says Made in Japan with H01XXXX serial on headstock
has no truss rod stripe on the back of the neck

what would be the prices on this bass wether its a std or RI(please note the real relicing on the body)??

    thank you!!!

I don't think that color was offered in the reissues.

Awesome bass, welcome to the low end.

only way to really know is to pull the neck.

If I had it in my hands I could tell you with a pretty good chance of success - if the neck is an RI - it's a combination of neck profile and fretwire. Best bet is pull the neck, basically 5 minutes and you have the answer - Do remember to take pic's of the neck pocket, neck heel and neck bottom. You also know that the bass & neck are a matched pair or not at that point ...

I would predict that if it was a reissue, it would have a 62 RI spaghetti logo like this - pretty quick identifier:

    ...which yours doesnt.

    That's a standard model
