    For sale here is a hard to find Fender Modern Player short scale bass, in white blonde , rosewood board, in very good condition. Comes with a hardshell case made for a full scale bass ( the way I got it ). Weighs 10.2 lbs on postal scale. Here is more info.

    The Modern Player series Short Scale Jazz Bass features a 30” scale and slightly downsized body that make it a delight for the bantam bassist. That said, it’s long on other great features, including a 9.5”-radius rosewood fingerboard with 18 medium jumbo frets, a versatile P/J configuration with a Hot Jazz Bass bridge pickup and Precision Bass® middle pickup, a Fender Hi-Mass bridge, and more. Available in White Blonde with a three-ply tortoiseshell pickguard and Candy Apple Red with a three-ply black pickguard.

    You are correct, the info I copied was not . 18 frets. Post corrected.

    How does that affect it?

    Is that blemish on the back or a reflection?

    I guess if you need and use 20 frets it is an issue, if you don't it's not.That is a reflection, in the last picture, you will see the only blemish I am aware of. Shipping and paypal included.

    What's the action currently setup on this bad boy? I love the fender hi-mass but in my experience they are limited to higher actions.

    I had my tech set it up and told him it was for sale. He set it up low and comfortable and there is still room in the bridge to lower the action, which if I was keeping it , I would. I don't play bass much anymore, but when I do it is in an acoustic or bluegrass setting. I cannot do the upright any more, but I love the sound of one. My go to bass is a Guild BC4 with nylon tapewound strings and a K&K pickup in place of the piezo.
