I have a recently aquired Fender Mustang bass. It's a 1977 in good shape (no major dings or dents) It does have a peticular bridge though and I was hoping someone could fill me in on this. The bridge has "metal tabs" underneath each string that looks like the tension could be adjusted to touch the string or not. Also if anyone knows what these bassed are worth nowadays. Any help would be appriciated.

those tabs are for the string mutes that originally came on the bass. i leave them on cause i think they look cool on mine, but serve no purpose without the mutes.

I see em selling on ebay between 250 and 500. But don't sell it. It's a cool bass. :)
