I have an absolutely great Fender Nate Mendel Precision Bass for sale. These basses are Made in Mexico and are lightly relic'ed. Fender states it as Closet Classic. Small nicks here and there as well as light wear on the body and hardware. Has a Candy Apple Red Ash body with nicely figured maple neck/rosewood fingerboard. All Nitrocellulose finish. Stock Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder pickup and Leo Quann Badass II bridge(slotted so you can change the string spacing if you wish). Weighs just over 9 lbs. This one plays and sounds just fantastic. It was the best sounding bass in the store when I bought it. It has just a massive tone to it! Growly, clear and even. Really hits you in the chest and is very responsive. It also plays wonderfully. The neck is a bit slimmer than a standard Precision(1.625) and it feels terrific. Now here is the deal... I had started to take off the Mendel signiture from the back of the head stock after I bought it, but it wasn't looking the way I wanted. So, I had the back of the headstock refinished in lightly tinted oil. It does look very good, but the signiture and serial number are no longer there. I do however have the original hang tag from when I bought it new. I also had a thin maple shim added to the neck pocket to get it playing even better than stock(a common practice and this one works absolutely great). Because of the modification to the back of the headstock I am selling it at only $399 plus shipping! They are $899 new so this is a HECK of a deal. Comes with a Fender gig bag. Paypal prefered, PM me if interested!
