Fender Neck Finish Repair Questions

Hello everyone, I have an American Fender P bass which recently took a hard fall in my bedroom and damaged both the finish on the body slightly, and the polyurethane finish on the neck also has a crack or 2 from the fall. My question is, are there anyways I can fix the polyeurethane finish on the neck by maybe applying a light touch of something. Would it be a good idea to go by some polyeuruthane coating and lightly apply some on the dented and scratched dagaged areas of my neck? Is there any other methods or secrets to fix such a problem? I Don't want further finish to come off the neck and the problem getting worse. Any tips info please let me know
