i am getting these installed on my MIM jazz:
i originally wanted the Noiseless p/u's, but they weren't in stock. How are these Fender Original p/u's in comparison, tone-wise? and how do the Originals compare to the Fender Custom Shop p/u's?

I've actually been wondering this myself. I was planning on going to various music stores to test out basses that had these pickups(ex. Geddy Lee for Original, and look around for the noiseless logo) to hear approximately what these pickups would sound like.

One thing that I do know is that the noisless is humbucking but wired to retain the single-coil low end.
  3. I changed the Fender Stock Pickups with Fender Vintage Noiseless.

The Noiseless are a BIGGGGG improvement in sound and volume, and noise level or lack of.

Big distinct low end, excellent clarity, nice mids, very smooth highs. They made my MIA Jazz bass sound much more expensive.
If you cannot find them, email me. I can get them.
