Anyone who knows where I can find pics/info about
Fender P bass 62 RI MIJ (Japan) ?
Does anyone know if there is big differences between USA made vintage pups and Japan made vintage pups?
(beside product country ;-)

That link above my post is to buy the Amer.Vintage Series 62 "P" thru a Japan dealer. That's a much more costly way to buy a bass that's right here in the U.S. You don't want to do that. This link I'm giving you is to buy the Japanese Made 62 Precision. http://www.excite.co.jp/world/engli...tar/fender-j/bs-index.htm&wb_lp=JAEN&wb_dis=2
I've found an new Fender P bass 62 RI MIJ (tt sunburst with Turtle Vint Red p guard and Japan vintage p-ups, with Fender deluxe gigbag)
the price (here in is Sweden/ish kronor 7.500) is about 950 USD/ 870Euro
(the price for an new USA 62 RI is about 2.400 USD/ 2.100 Euro here in Sweden)
Does this make sence?
or is the USA made 62 RI worth more than twice the price?
Quality-wise the US-made and Japanese-made instruments aren't going to be very different - some will argue that the Japanese are even better.
You should be able to order directly from Fender Japan (Ishibashi) for less than those prices - including shipping.
I asked the same question about the pickups when I bought my MIJ 57RI P bass, but I never got an answer. Same as the USA ones or not, they sound pretty damn good.
