  1. Up for sale is a Fender Frankenstein P-Bass. The body is from a 2007 Highway One. As you can see in the pictures the body has been slightly reliced. Lots of dings and dents in the finish but none down to the wood. The bridge and knobs are brass. Someone told me that the bridge is a DiMarzio but I wouldn't swear to that. I actually cleaned up the bridge a bit and that's about as good as I could get it to look. I replaced several of the height adjustment screws so setting it up shouldn't be an issue. The pickguard is Fender, the pickup is a Seymour Duncan Antiquity, and there are slightly reliced Dunlop Straploks installed.

The neck is a '79 B neck with what I believe are the original tuners. The B necks are narrower at the nut than a standard P bass, but wider than a Jazz neck. The nut was cracked at one point. It's been glued together so it doesn't appear to be an issue. The neck is nice and straight and the trussrod works just fine. Plenty of life left in the frets and the action on the bass as a whole is nice and low. Recently strung up with EB Power Slinky's .55-.105 and setup. The overall bass weighs about 9lbs according to the bathroom scale. There is no bag or case for her but she will be packed securely. The neck will be removed from the body to ensure a safe arrival to you.

This bass sounds killer and plays great. I honestly feel that Fender and Fender type basses really come to life with heavier string gauges. I really recommend trying her out with the strings that are on her right now for a couple of weeks. You never know, you may never go back to lighter gauge strings!
    SOLD!

I have a '78 Franken similar to this. Tell you what, mine is the most killer P I've played. If this one is anything like mine, you have a hell of a deal here!!!

I am a sound believer in the magic of the highway 1/vintage neck franken combo. Light body - killer neck and those Antiquity pickups are perfection

    so... PM'd!!
