I’m putting my Fender Power Jazz Bass Special with a Fender molded hardshell case up for sale. The bass is clean and plays wonderfully, as it should. It is complete with all of its original pickups, electronics, knobs and all other hardware with the exception of the strap buttons, though I have retained the originals. Currently, it has Dunlop straplocks. It has 22 frets, a single volume control, three-way switch, Fender TBX control, passive/active switch with the option of boosting the bass or mids, and a frequency sweep knob. The bridge is a quick-release bridge, found only on a handful of these basses. The bass weighs in at 8 3/4 pounds per my scale. Per the Fender resources, the bass was made at the Fugigen plant sometime between 1984-1987.
The bass is in excellent shape though it does show very minimal play wear, being a small ding here or there but nothing down to the wood. Where the neck meets the neck pocket, there is a very small gouge in the wood. This was caused by some dill weed attempting to adjust the trus rod without unscrewing the neck. This is a very small blemish and does not effect playing in anyway. I’ve done my best to include all of the imperfections within the photos. Some are difficult to see so I’ve pointed to them for reference in the photos. Since I’ve owned the bass, it has been babied. The case is in fantastic shape and does not have any cracks or broken and/or missing parts.
I love the bass and love its wide array of tones. It sounds very Spector-ish to my ears.
I’m forced to sell the bass to pay for a guitar that I needed for church. I’ve been moved mostly to lead guitar these days.
Payment through PayPal, please. Also, because I have to sell the bass, I respectfully ask that trade offers not be submitted.
I’ll ship via your preferred method to the continental United States at the cost of the buyer. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions! Thanks for taking the time to view my listing!
