Up for sale or trade is a very nice Fender PBAC-100FL Fretless bass. Kind of a rare bird and really is an amazing bass from Fender Japan. Called by many the poor mans Rob Allen bass. Bass has a magnetic P pickup and an under bridge piezo pickup. This bass is in very good shape with the exception of some rash at the curve of the headstock near the tuners (pic below). Maybe damage from a stand? It's ugly but does not impact stability or how well the bass plays.

Bass has been upgraded by a local luthier. Nordstrand P pickup and the piezo buffer circuit. Original pickups will be included with the bass. If you prefer I have a really great Delano P pickup I could swap for the Nordstrand. Everything on the bass works as it should and it is setup up for low easy playing action. Bass is wearing a set of broken in Labella light flats and just feels and sounds incredible.

Bass has a mahogany semi-hollow body topped with spruce. Neck is a fender jazz neck with micro tilt adjustment. Controls are volume/tone/blend. Bass dates to 1993-94

Only issue I have with the bass is the jazz nut width. 1.5". I much prefer a p bass neck. Only reason this is up for sale/trade.

I will ship in a period correct but non-original Fender Hard shell case.

Outright sale - $1000 shipped CONUS OBO

Trades? Looking to build my dream fretless, already have everything but the neck. See list below
    • fretless precision neck.
    • Fretless bass with a precision neck
    • five string fretless ok as long as its 34" scale and 18 - 19 mm at bridge < 9lbs
    • Fretted four string bass with a wide neck (especially AVRI P with a rosewood board) <9 lbs
    • Mesa Prodigy bass amp.
    • Any cool basses really
Feel free to run any trades by me I'm always a little Gassy. As I'm sure many of you know... :ninja:

Here are some basement pics. I'll get some better this weekend. If there's anything specific you'd like to see just ask.

I was asked for a better shot of the ugly part. The basses not mine... Overall in very, very good shape.
