What would you prefer: an american precision bass from the 90's or a japanese '82 JV precision?
I'm considering buying one of those two.

i'd go with the JV without dout

  3. Sadly, Japanese Fenders from the 70s and 80s are much better than he later American mades in many cases. I get the impression that wood quality has gone down in many American made Fenders since the 90s.

I have a JV which needs the frets put back in it but the neck pocket and build quality of the bass is really really good! very resonant too!
