Very clean Fender P-bass up for your consideration. Eighties "E" series MIJ neck on Electron Blue Fender Standard body with gold guard. No dents or dings...just a couple minor scratches on the anodized guard. Absolutely no disappointments with this one. Badass bridge, Bartolini 8S pickup and CTS pots round this baby out. She's basically a custom color '57 Re-issue!

$595 shipped CONUS only. Generic hard case included in price.

Pardon my ignorance, I haven't been able to find a description: How are the dimensions of the E neck different from others? I found a reference to a Stratocaster with an E neck that called it "thinner," but that's all.

The thinner E series necks sometimes referenced are the USA made "Elite" necks from the eighties, I believe.

The Japanese E series necks were not thinner, in my experience. The maple necks such as this one were made in one piece...no separate fingerboard. The same way they were made in the early days when the skunk stripe had a true purpose.

This is a pretty standard feeling typical chunky feeling P neck.

Very cool! If I had a need (which I don't) and something to trade (don't have that either), I'd be interested in this. Brass nut to boot. Good luck on this!

Yes, the Bart 8s is a pretty well known P replacement...quite well thought of. I'm sure you can Google it for a lot of reviews.

Action is set up right now as fairly low (for me) and the strings are a set of D'addario Nickel Roundwounds.

Bass is perfect structurally and electronically.
