Fender precision ?

    I have an old fender precision bass,don't know the year because the marking on the neck butt is unreadable,anyway,i am looking to put a jazz neck on the body,any ideas where to get one that will fit,under $200?

    If you have the serial number, the Fender site has information regarding approximate datiny by serial number . . . .

    Yeah it's really old,no serial number except the butt end of the neck has worn away markings.

    Search ebay for 'Mighty Mite' They make licensed fender necks and usually give you the dimensions of the neck butt, so you can measure it against your Pbass neck pocket.

    I have ordered one myself!

    ok thanks,the nut width has to be the same also?

    the neck is in fairly good condition,new frets and tuners,
    but i realy would like a new jazz neck,i don't like the feel of the old precision neck.
