Anybody use these pickups besides already having them come stock in a Geddy, Custom, or other Jazz bass? I am considering these for a Warwick Corvette with a "fresh" Bart NTBT preamp to mate with.

If so, how is the output? Punch? Hum? "Burpiness" of the bridge pup?

Surprisingly, the stock MEC's are pretty quiet and tight, but me Beano wore off....and I'm a g.a.s.'n...... :D

    Thanks!!

  2. I bought a used '95 MIA jazz recently and had the pickups replaced with CS 60's. The difference wasn't night and day, but it was a strong improvement. Just a lot more character overall. The originals seemed a little thin to me, thinner than recent MIA jazzes I've played in stores, which have sounded pretty nice. I also had a corvette fretless for a while, and found the MECs to be anemic. I think the CS60's pups would be a huge improvement -- much ballsier... :bassist:
