    Does anyone know where to find genuine fender replacement necks, that actually say FENDER on them? not just "licensed replacement parts" ?:bassist:

  2. Fender does offer genuine replacement necks for their American Vintage Series 62 Precision 62 jazz, and a maple board 57 P . From what I've heard they are all standard width at the heal and should fit nicely on any 4 bolt P or J . Musicians Freind even carries them ,usually go for around 335 bucks , they come without tuners or a nut if I recall. Have been considering getting the 57 p neck to put on a jazz bass. The 62 & 57 P necks are my faves as they are both 1&3/4 at the nut with a very flat front to back profile and a nitrocellute finish.

  3. Do a GOOGLE search and you can find them online!

    Fender sells genuine replacement necks for the
    Jazz and Precision. They only say "Fender" on them, the decal has no model reference on them,
    and they're not cheap. I bought one a couple
    years ago, it was Junk-Ola, it should have fit
    a lot better on the Jazz Bass I had, but it
    had to be shimmed way too much, I had to crank
    the truss rod all the way, and the fret work
    was very rough which wasn't evident until it
    was installed, I wasn't happy with it at all..
    I took it back to the store and got a refund.
    My advice FWIW, is to go WARMOTH, which uses
    a far superior truss rod and reinforcment system;
    if you need it to say "FENDER", hunt around ebay,
    guitar shops, or vintage shows for a genuine
    or repro decal, the fakes are so good, you almost
    can't tell the difference..

  5. Hey, I forgot about these!
