fender roscoe beck and stu hamm urge

    after a search on these topics, i ask you the following:
    can you tell me more about the sound and the controls of these 2 basses?
    i have found a roscoe beck for the corrispective of 950 us$ and a stu hamm urge for 350us$
    both are used.
    are these good prices?

  2. $350 for a stu hamm urge? That's dirt cheap man! I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure they sell for around $1000 new.

  4. That's the old model of the Urge. The current Urge II has a P pickup in between the two Jazz pickups as well as a 34" scale. The Urge I is a 32" scale bass.

    I have not played an Urge II.. but I have briefly played an old Urge I like that bass and I thought it seemed well built and it sounded nice.
