Fender -Sadowsky- J-retro

    I have a Fender J 90's, and I replaced with Sadowsky pick up which I bought from Ebay and J-retro pre amp. Awesome.. but still cannot match my original Sadowsky :(
    tho' it surprises my band fellows.

    I think it's quite obvious why it will never sound like your sadowsky, simply because it is not one.

    Roger sadowsky chooses his wood hands on, by selecting the most resonance wood, you'd probably know this better, cause you're a wood engineer or somthing right? Where as for Fender.....well it's mass produce, so don't expect any service like that. Based on that alone, the affect on the tone is too much not to include any electronics, PU etc. Plus your genuine sadowsky is not using a J-retro preamp right? Why don't you try using an all sadowsky preamp and pick up and see how it mimick the real one.

    Your sadowsky sound is not only achieved by the pick up, it a combination of all things.

    You are absolutely right, but it's ok, because the sound is so much better than the original Fender.
    Hey, I'm going to sell some of my collection, see if any of your friend interested , Pedulla MVP 4, Taylor AB1, Dolphin 4, Thumbbolt 4 and Lakland Deluxe 4, 99,9 pct condition except MVP with few dings .

    On 16th Nov there is a Bass workshop in my school's performance hall featuring Mates, Bintang and Adi D. plus others, it is free. Please come by if you are interested.
