You and the team at Fender knocked it out of the park with your signature mustang. Price point wise it’s the best 4-string machine they’ve ever made IMO, and easily my favorite model in their entire bass roster currently outside of the custom shop.

Question, any talks of doing a signature run of your ‘75 P? Fender still has never reissued any legit form of the 70’s P (Nate Mendel model excluded). They have done some great reissues of 50’s and 60’s P’s, as well as 60’s and 70’s J’s over the years but always alluded the 70’s P.

It needs to happen and you’re the guy who could make sure it’s done right.

    Just sayin’..

This would be a fantastic idea. The Nate Mendel is an incredibly popular bass, and one based on yours could be a good counterpart to the Mendel IMO (maple fretboard as opposed to the rosewood/pau ferro)

I’m also hoping for a re-issue/signature like this one day. I’m currently in the slow process of putting together a ‘70s P bass. I have an Aguilar pickup and a Squier Mocha body.

Finding a maple fretboard neck with the Fender ‘70s logo is like finding a hens tooth though.

    Please make it happen JMJ!
