Fender Standard p bass strings

    I just got a new standard p bass with seymour duncan pickups and I wanted to put some new strings on it but I dont know what kind I should get for it. I was thinking some DR hi beams on it but does any one have any recommendations

    DR hi beams are fantastic on a P bass.

    What kind of sound are you after? Hi Beams will be very bright and clear sounding.

    I'm using SIT Powerwounds on my American Standard P-bass 5-string. They play and sound great.

    You're going to get, "These are great...no, these are better great...etc." What kind of tone are you looking for?
