Fender Thinskins-we need basses!

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Surprise Panda!, Sep 21, 2008.

  1. Hi,

So Fender is making some thinskin guitars that wear very easily. But, obviously, no J or P bass versions. C'mon!!!

  2. Just take a power sander to your bass. Problem solved.

Is it me or do fenders already wear very easily? I tend to see relatively new fender guitars and basses with a lot of paint damage.

  4. It's like anything else. If they can make them thinner, so they look like crap sooner, then you'll buy another one. It's a marketing ploy. :D

Actually, if they look crap it is a reason for me to keep them.

  6. Then it would be reverse psychology. :D

Is the satin nitro lacquer on the Highway One P & J basses not thin-skinned enough for you? They show wear pretty quick.
