  1. From fender.com:

FULLERTON, CA - Fender Musical Instruments Corporation this week announced that it will cease production of its popular Precision Bass guitar by 2005. The instrument, which was first introduced in 1951, has been regarded as a classic by professional and amateur musicians alike. "It was a hard and controversial decision," said Fender spokesman William Brontschall, "But ultimately we decided that it was the 21st century, it's time to move on."

Are you sure, I thought I read that along with the story "William Brontschall donates testicles to science" :p You got me slightly, I was thinking "There is no way that even Fender can be this stupid."

It's early and that makes me even dumber than normal, good one bro, you got me wondering just how stupid the folks at Fender could be and how a P-bass was about to be at the top of the list of gear to acquire ASAP. I love April Fools....

    wow, I almost believed it.....NOT!
  17. I almost honestly wish they would...hell, the J too. Haven't they made enough of them by now?

    Enough already.
  18. It got me too ...

It's amazing how many people won't be happy until Fender stops making something they wouldn't buy anyway. They would find glee in another person NOT being able to get the instrument they wanted.

Suck it up boys, the P, the J, and Fender will be around a lot longer than you. Come to think of it, they have been already!
  19. I must admit, i have been fooled.
