Does the Fender Rumble 100 live upto an expectation of sounding good and being loud enough to play at a sizeable gig?

Not in my opinion. By itself it sounds quite good. With any type of band situation with a drummer in a large room you'd be hard pressed to hear it if used on stage as a monitor. You'd have to run it wide open and your speaker would fail sooner than later. Not that it's a bad amp. It's just not designed for that.

Maybe a quiet country gig or a "society" gig it would cut it.
  3. I love your descriptive title. :D
