Find Your Fender | Fender
I got a J, no surprise.
Whatta y'all get?
Jaguar for me!
It asks what color you want, but not what neck width, weight, number of strings, if you want active or passive, or if you're gigging, recording, a beginner, etc. Worse than useless.
Designed by Jeffrey Epstein? Sounds like a dating service. No thanks. If you don't know the difference between a P and a J by now I doubt this will help.
Tone is in the paint color my dude
It's pretty clearly designed for people completely new to playing instruments.
For what it is, it's cute.
If it were actually useful it would be able to recommend me something besides a Fender.
Affinity Series Bronco Bass
I got a programmable pressure cooker. Very disappointed.
The second time I did it I got an air fryer. Definitely a glitch in the algorithm.
It won't let me go under $200.
PJ Affinity, it is.
I hate when the first thing a salesman asks is how much money I have to spend. I feel like I'm setting myself up for a shakedown.
So left the default .... Classic Vibe '60s Jazz.
Not trying to be a smart*** but this is geared towards beginners. If you know you want a bass that's olympic white with a neck that's 1.75" at the nut, 4 strings, active, and you're already gigging/recording, you probably already know which Fender basses you prefer.
The upper boundary on the price option is also $950. Some fantastic instruments can be had for that price or less, but your run-of-the-mill American Fender is gonna cost more than $1000 new. I got the impression that this was for people that don't know anything about guitars.
It's funny, because I got the Player Jazz and it already is my main bass
Well, now you have to buy a second one.
You should have read the little lines at the bottom.
CV 50s P
I was actually gonna try it out next time I went to pmt.
Classic Vibe 50s Precision.
Which is fairly accurate.
Jazz bass, because I like funk?!!!
Every other things but the genre I picked was screaming a P bass!
Tried to lead it twice to give me an answer I wanted, which is a P bass, but it failed both times. Not impressed.
