This is a GREAT bass...just need to downsize.
At this point I may keep several of the basses I currently have up for sale. I thought there'd be more interest.

    LEJ4 ash body
Maple neck with black block inlays.
    Suhr pups w/LowEnd 2/3 preamp.

Would you mind posting a little bit about the preamp/control layout? Totally new to me personally.

^^^That bit about being the first to bring the first 2-band to 3-band by the flip of a switch isn't exactly true. Status has been doing it since the mid 90s.

a link to the status? Never heard or seen one with a 2/3 band circuit with two actual different EQ curves such as the LEJ ones.

I own a Status Jonas Hellborg Custom which was designed in the mid 90s. I had an actual 90s model then later bought a late 00s one (which I still have) - both flip from 2 to 3 band by a flip of the switch. If I can find the original flyer I'll post it but speaking from real experience seems good enough.

Not to take anything from the bass posted here. That's a killer - I'd love to have it in my arsenal!

looks to be a 3 band circuit all the time with a mid switch that isn’t even variable. Similar to old MTD circuits and the sadowsky will Lee circuit.

I believe the status is flat mid eq point in the middle position and then either a boost or cut in the other positions. Not actually a selectable 2 or 3 band eq option

I am happy to be proven wrong, I would assume someone may have, just never seen it offered production wise as a standard option.

In the middle position there is zero mid adjustment. Positions 1 and 3, yes there is mid adjustment according to those bands. Put the bass in center position... no mid control.

It’s flat, according to the description.....

that is not the same as a 2 band, a 2 band the mid actually floats as you cut and boost the bass and treb.

The way this reads a 3 band with the mid set flat at a specific frequency.

That is the way I read it.

Yes that isn’t a true 2 to 3 band differing circuit.
