First - I know I should have posted some sample by now.. but since I've got no amp or recording gear at the moment it might take a while, so please excuse me for that

It has the 2 band Nordstrand preamp, and Bartolini X4 Deep tones splits. And I play it with La Bella Slappers 45-128.

The Alder & Maple combination just make the bass sing.
It has such a fresh sound, so alive and clear.
The maple fretboard adds a lot of clarity and crisp to each note, and it really shows when you slap it, then you have the traditional "zing" of maple. I'm sure the nickel on nickel touch contributes a lot to this.
The Barts and NS pre don't color the sound as much as I thought they would. they allow the natural tone of the guitar to shine through.

Sometimes its just so nice and refreshing to see a no-top, no-back, no multilaminated basses like this one.

    Really nice work.

Do you have any "full frontal" shots rather than these "arty-ish" ones?
Would be real nice to see the whole bass! :D

The only doubt I have about it is if it is well balanced or not... It looks it is quite a lot heavier towards the neck side.
