My next bass shall be a natural fender jazz made between 1970 and 1975 or 1995 and 2001. It will have a maple neck and possibly black binding.
Good, another person who sees the intelligence of buying an Ibanez. Welcome to the club, my friend. Rock on Eric
I had a BTB1005 for a short time. Very nice bass. It had it's own sound which was really sweet. I hear the 406 models are nice as well. Best bass Ibanez makes IMO.
My friend had an Ibanez. A BTB it was, as they are the best kind of Ibanez. I on the other hand would buy a Warwick, well, i did, the tone, ahh the tone, far better for the same money. plus they arent as common
My next one will be an Ibanez ATK705. I think these are only available here (Japan) right now. Maple board, active pups, transparent blue finish. About $800 USD...
i think my next-after-next bass will be a fretless ibanez 6 string. not sure whether i want the BTB or the soundgear prestige, i think i like the soundgear body a little more, and the tight neck would be good for a 6 string i think... my NEXT bass will be a 4 string warmoth jazz bass. unfinished dinky jazz bass ash body, aguilar preamp, bartolini pickups, gotoh 206 bridge, black hardware, and a wenge neck with macassar ebony board. mmmmmmmmmmmm.... jason
I see from your avatar that you are already on your knees ... Seriously, Ibanez's are great basses for the price. Some of the world's to pros use the BTB - so if you like it, go for it!
BTBs are supposed to be pretty nice. I haven't had the opoportunity to play one yet, but I've only heard good things about them. Another option might be a Pushic Custom. For a bit more money you can get a lot more features and higher quality.
Go with a MIA jazz bass it will play and sound better than any Ibanez plus it will retain its value if you ever decide to sell it.Make sure you buy pre 75 if you can.
