    Sorry,

At the risk of raising a dysfunctional "family", my "daughters" only leave the houes 1 or 2 at a time and they never leave my sight when we go out. :)

  5. Well, YOU'RE no fun! Just kidding. I thoroughly understand. I wouldn't let any of them out of my sight if I were you!

    Thanks all,

Those babies are my pride and joy!!

That is actually a 1973 Gibson Ripper. I found it on ebay about 3 years ago. Back in the day when I was a working musician (I gig and record for fun now), I had one that I used every night and it was a killer instrument. I sold it in the eighties and regretted it ever since. When this one popped up for $400.00, I grabbed it.

It is like an old friend, we just picked up where we left off.

    marcusalan,

I had a 1972 Ric 4001 in Fireglo back in the 70s. (yep, sold that one, too, like an idiot).

Every time I looked at it, it took my breath away!

    Yours is gorgeous!

  15. Wow, great collection. You've got all the basses covered (no pun intended). Thanks for sharing.

  16. Thanks, Mar,

Your family is quite beautiful, especially the Precision in the top-left with the chrome covers and the Epiphone below it.

Rickenbacker's are truly instruments of time-tested beauty, not to mention their tone is so vibrant and full.

I think the next addition to the family has to be a Stingray.

I played one in a local store the other day and started to get serious GAS. :bassist:

The closest thing I have to that tone is my American Zone.

I would go for a 4 string because I am most comfortable with them.

What do you think, piezos or not?
