So I am finally officially in the club after needing my own upright for just over a year. It's been a tough journey on what to decide to get (new or old), carved or ply, wait to spend more money on something good instead of a dog, which brand, where from, sound, how does it play etc etc So here is my bad boy...

    DBH2.
    DBH3.
    DBBACK.
    DBTP2.

I am trying to id the builder/area/date, so any help is appreciated.

So far it would appear the following:
    Carved spruce top
    Flat back
    Maple neck
    Estimated at 100-120 years old
    German/Mittenwald/Bohemien
    42"
    3/4

Here is what Ken Smith has to say about it:

Any other comments and opinions welcome and also, can anybody recommend a good repairer for setup and general resoration in the UK, ideally near Birmingham.

Also, where to find old authentic parts (ie tuners so they match) for such an instrument?
