  4. And finally my amp, a Hartke B90

  5. Come on be nice to me and my collection of firewood

    *extreme fishing for compliments*

    :D

  6. hey
i use to have a Hartke B90, nice lil combo aint it!

    *Si*

  7. Thats cool that you can play a 4'r and then a 7'
    r. Actually I just haven't played a 7'r because I'm a 4'r. If you stay at this site long enough, you'll want, and have, more basses. If you're looking for another combo don't forget about the Amepg B-100R.;)

Ahh - The brand that makes your 7 is known here in the US as "Galveston". I'd seen 8-string (non-doubled, F#BEADGCF) ones but no 7s before.

  9. My 7 is tuned from F# to C with a custom made .180 string for the F#
When I got it and plugged it in it just sounded horrible.
I just had to work a little around with setup und pickup height and now I absolutly love this one

How do the pickups sound on it? I have been tempted a time or two to get one of the 8 stringers from Ebay, but I know if the pickups are awful, it would cost twice what the bass did to have custom replacements made for it.

yeah, that's cool - looks like a galveston. that's actually very nice looking.

how wide is the string spacing at the bridge? can you measure it? from center of string to center of string?

Nice practice amp. Those B series Hartkes arent too bad. My dad, who is trying to learn how to play bass, bought one for him, a B12 or B15, the 120 watt one. Its pretty good for under $200 USD.

  13. I think they sound very nice. It is a an ash nody with a laminated ! maple neck.
You have a spacing of sth like 15.5 -16 at the bridge. It's very tight but since I only use the 7 for finger picking it's ok.
I can recommend this ones to anyone considering entering the world of 7 and above for very low price

btw, i know everyone is talking about the 7 string, but i think the finish on that samick 4 is really cool. ;)

  20. I like it,too. And the best about the 4 stringer is I paid only 240 $ for it with the MECs in it !
    That's what I call a good deal :D
