After playing what seems like a half-dozen of Chris' guitars, and even owning one myself, I finally got my hands on one of his basses for the first time. This one was a 2-year-old 219B, pictured here. I understand all the craze now. If this is a two year old bass, I REALLY want to see his more recent work! It had the best action I've ever played, a thin, fast neck, and sounded incredible. It covered nearly the entire spectrum, sounding almost as aggressive as an L2000, or as mellow and warm as my Roscoe. This was with the Bart pickups and pre, so I am very interested to hear a newer one with the Suhr pickups and Benavente pre.

That's the first of his basses I've played. Here's my Bennie gee-tar, just for fun. :D

PS-Brian, I think I've asked you, but can't remember. If you have any idea what pickups are in this guitar, please let me know. Chris told me he believes they're PRS or DiMarzio, but couldn't be certain. Someone else told me that he thinks Chris had these specially wound. Any ideas?

Cool, glad you dig the bass. That was Greg from Breaking Points first bass before he had his custom design basses built.

Joe said he just traded you that Goldtop for it. He really wants the arch-top, though.

Yea we did a trade on the Gold top with Flames. I'm glad he is really digging the bass. Last I heard from him he was extremely happy with it!

Glad you like it - my 219B is still the most amazing instrument I have ever played.

Hippie, the owner of this one, and I were both drooling over your bass yesterday! What is the top on it?
