  1. Well... yes, yes, you've all probably seen a few JetGlo 4003's, but here's mine :p

Please excuse the rather unpleasurable photo quality - the camera I used is a junker.

That's one sweet lookin Ric, and my favorite finish to boot! The action looks really comfy in the top-down pic.
  4. I've actually got it even lower now that I have much thicker guage strings on - those were RS66LA's (!!!), now I'm suing some TI PowerBass, which are much higher guage, much higher tension, thus, I can put the action lower. It really does play schweetly :)

I've since put the treble pickup cover back on - I spend most of my time lightly fingering closer to the bridge, so I put it back on - looks so tasty.

That's beautiful! A work of art.
  9. That's nice - I'm not so sure I like you, you posted in my "please ignore this thread for a while" thing while I was trying to upload all my images - however, that went horifically wrong so I just mooched off my friend's domain instead :p

You'll have to try extra-hard to endear yourself to me - i'm sure it's very important to you to not be in my bad books :p

  10. I know! Okay, okay, I had taken it off. I'm sorry!

However, a couple of weeks ago (those pictures are a few months old...) I put it back on - I found that I spent most of my playing time either closer to the bridge (Closer to the Heart? gee, I can just hear Geddy belting out "CLOSER TO THE BRIDGE! YEA!"), or right by the neck pickup - so I reinstalled it. I hope that, in time, the Rick gods will find it in their hearts to forgive me, and not discipline me with the same lack of benevolence that they hath bestowed upon those grimey eBay bastards selling Rick knockoffs.

  11. I'm glad you approve, JT - however, this black Rick is a bit cooler :)

Out of curiosity, I've never heard a first-hand account of the differences in sound between the 4001/4003 and the 4080, one being neck through, the other being bolt-on - care to enlighten me? I'm sure the body size and the fact that there's another neck on the same body resonating away contributes to the difference in sound, but still...

  14. No "but"s, Dave - the damage has been done! Do you know how emotionally damaged I was from that incident? :p

  15. I'm glad you enjoyed them :)
  16. Which is bolt-on? (4001/4003/4080)
  17. the 4080 I beleive
  18. *kisses screen unitl it smudges*
    *walks away blushing*
  19. Correct you are, BrettAM:

    4001 - neck through
    4003 - neck through
    4080 - bolt on
  20. Ooo, I feel so dirty. Well, my bass feels so dirty. I mean... I can understand you feeling the need to, er... actually, I'm not going to go there. Nevermind. ;)
