So I've had a classical Nylon string guitar for awhile, but Bass has become my passion over the last year. However I'm not getting good sound on the Classic just using my finger tips but I find if I don't cut my nails now they'll keep giving me a very much unwanted sound while playing bass. Any one else have this problem?

I play a little classical guitar and always let my nails grow. I have found that I prefer playing bass now with nails, much more brighter sounding like a pick. When a nail breaks it definitely changes the sound and drives me nuts till it grows back. It sounds like you need to keep them filed towards the shorter side so they don't dominate your bass playing.

Thanks for the tip, think I'll try getting used to letting my nails have a little fun with the bass strings than :D
