    I'm not too sure what you mean by " thumbrest ", but since i got my Fender, i switched to fingerstyle, and i put my thumb on the edge of a pickup.

    I say "yes". It helps me last longer when playing.

    i tend to kinda float around because it's quite the pain in the a$$ to reach the high G or C strings if you don't

    it also helps me get more freedom than putting my thumb on the pickups or on the E

    nobody is really sure what it's all about and jvasquez18 didn't give any sing. We already have thread about right hand position and technique. So I will close it.
