Guys, if I'm not going to ever bow my bass, can I sand the bevel down and just have a radiused fingerboard? Will it make any difference to the playability?

    Oh. Not my field, then.

  5. im not an upright guy, but i know that a lot of jazz upright players sand thier fingerboards almost flat, or similar to an electric if they never bow, i have no idea what this bevel you speak of is though.

you may get more luck in the upright set up section

If you never bow then go for it. Be sure however that you make the bridge and the tailpiece match up with the radius of the fingerboard.
Be sure to let us know how it goes too.

You might want to ask this on the DB forum, probably under Setup & Repair.
