Finish for a fretless rosewood fretboard?

Discussion in 'Luthier's Corner' started by MoltarRocks, Nov 22, 2002.

  1. To the luthiers:

I have a fretless bass (Essex) with a lined fretless rosewood fretboard. I wanted to try to coat it to (1) improve the sound, (2) improve the playability and (3) make it more durable.

Can you give me any ideas on what to coat it with?

I've seen epoxy recipies on here and also super glue.

    Which would work?
