Has anyone comme across whitish marks on your basses? They almost look like scratches but they're not. I have several on my new Thumb 4 along the upper horn and on the lower bout.

Any ideas on what's causing them or how to get rid of them.
    Thanks

My bass used to get these "whitish" marks on it all the time, I finally found out what was causing them: everytime I would leave my bass proped up against my wall(I was stoopid and didn't get a stand, until later) which is plasterboard with white paint on it....it would slide across the wall until it either fell over or stopped at the door jamb...to take it off, I just used a really clean cotton cloth (cloth baby diapers work well....got a 6.5 month old at home, so I have plenty around) and some elbow grease...a little lemon oil (that's lemon oil, not pledge lemon scented) should help with rubbing those marks off too.

Let me know if this helps or not.
