Hi, I have a Cort Artisan B4 bass and I am really fond of the finish on it. Anybody knows what I'm talkin about? It is a satin like finish that looks great over the ash. My questions: how and with what producs can I achieve a finish like this on my project bass, will it work on other types of wood, like mahogany? (Oil/wax) I haven't tried asking Cort yet, wonder if they give away any secrets... Compared to other finishes is this a durable type, and if not what's more durable and not to far off the mark. Thanks for any help.

From more reading through older threads I wonder if linseed oil in combination with a caruba (spelling) based wax could be the go?
