I really like the way the Walnut and Pao Ferro seem to blend. Again, congrats on your new bass!

Wow, that's very nice! That's one of the nicer walnut tops I've seen so far :) I kinda worry about the bass horn though - it looks like it could cut/stab someone... :p

  8. I have a pic of my finished JAF too! Eventually I'll take some better ones myself, but until then this will have to do. ;) :bassist:

    Specs:

Mahogany body core with Cocobolo top, back, and headstock overlay
    Maple/Purpleheart neck
Pau Ferro fingerboard (24 frets, and I'm not sure what they used for the side dot inlays, but it looks cool)
    EMG 35DC pickups
    EMG 2-band EQ
    Gotoh tuners (all black hardware)
    Schaller roller bridge
    Schaller strap locks
    Graphite nut
    SKB Freedom hardshell case

That shot does no justice to your bass. Is there any way to brighten it? :meh:

I'd like pics of your JAF to.

Ask mike if you can send him a digital camera as part of your next payment. :D

  13. This is somewhat better. I'll eventually get better pics taken. I'll be sure to post a thread when I do.

Just imagine that the color of BP7770's bass is like this one. They came from the same piece of wood:

Jazz, yours is the nicest JAF ever. I would love to see it in person.

  16. Oooo...dat's purdy... :D ;)

I took some pics yesterday, but I'll have to wait until the roll of film gets developed (onto CD).

Yeah, I know. We'll get a new digital camera ASAP.
