First acceptable attempt at winding a pickup :-)

    So here's my attempt at whipping up a sort of 'P-90 for bass' style pickup. Simple single coil... about 8.5Kohms. Should be interesting given the short/fat dimensions of the coil. I'm only slightly worried about the pull from those neodymium magnets, but we'll see...



    Whatcha'll think? Good start, or keep trying green horn?

    I'm waiting on some covers so I can properly mount it in my bass to test it out.

    Looks interesting enough. Can't wait for the test results.
    By the way, nothing to worry about with neo magnets, the resultant magnetic pull shouldn't be much of a problem - if it proves to be troublesome you can always fine-tune it by lowering the pickup in the cavity.
