    If you altready reassembled many basses, why not trying something more challenging like building from scratch? :)
    I don't think a kit like that would teach you much you don't altready know.

    If building a neck has you intimidated, start with building a body, and get an aftermarket neck

  4. The kit is probably fine. It might give you an excuse to learn about fret leveling and polishing if you haven't already. That seems to be the major cost saving on a lot of low end stuff.

  5. A scratch build seems pretty daunting at this point just because i dont have the tools, time, or money. Im actually hoping the neck on this kit needs some fretwork as thats the next part of setups i want to learn.
